Absolute Boards Co are an Australian owned company formed in 1998 by Ben Mackay in Brisbane. He started the company as a deck distribution company making the boards with his own press using skills he had learnt from a back ground in cabinet making. The company has since grown to be an international distributor selling their products in over 60 countries world wide. The team at Absolute skateboards also brought out the Penny Skateboard in 2010 and named after Mackay's sister. The Penny skateboard is a 70's style plastic board that is short with big soft urethane wheels which has become a major success and house hold name internationally. Absolute continue to blend vintage skate trends with modern manufacturing as they also distribute Z-Flex one of the first major skateboard companies that has been running since 1976.
